Seeds have been ordered, are coming in and I will soon begin to seed. There will be many, many heirloom and open pollinated varieties this year and very few hybrids. I wrote an article for the Marquette Monthly Magazine for this month about GMO seeds and purchasing safe seed from safe companies. Please pick up the paper, or go on line, and read about why The Safe Seed Pledge is so important.
The new varieties of perennials will be spectacular this year. I may have gone over board but hey, it is so worth it. And this year is a divide year!! Some friends and I will be digging hundreds of my perennials, cutting them into big healthy divides and transplanting them into big pots for sale. It's a great way to have a big healthy perennial in your garden right away. There will be weekly specials too.
My winter greenhouse will be shut down sometime in Feb to allow it to rest and be fresh for seeding. A break for me :)
Lastly, I am hoping to be able to accept MasterCard and Visa this year. Stay tuned...
